Getting started
+Do I need any experience to train with you?
No. Courses are built for first-time shooters as well as experienced carriers. Registration asks about your experience level so instruction can be paced to the people in the room.
+How do I sign up for a course?
Use the Register page and work through the six steps: course selection, your information, training details, review and commitment, the participant agreement, and payment acknowledgment. Your answers are saved on your own device as you go, so you can step away and return to finish.
+How is scheduling handled?
Registration asks for your scheduling preference rather than locking you into a calendar slot. We confirm the actual date and location with you directly by email or phone after your registration is received.
+What if no date is posted for the course I want?
Join the waitlist on that course's page. You'll be contacted first when the next session is scheduled.
Illinois requirements
+Do I need a FOID card for the Illinois Concealed Carry License course?
Yes. Illinois requires a valid FOID card for the concealed carry curriculum. Registration asks for your FOID status so we can confirm you are eligible before class day.
+Do I need to own a handgun?
Not necessarily. Tell us during registration what you own or don't own and we will discuss options with you before your session.
+What prerequisite applies to Medical & Trauma Response?
The American Red Cross online component must be completed before the in-person session. Registration records whether that is done so nothing surprises you on class day.
Class day
+What should I bring?
Each course page lists what to bring. In general: valid identification, required permits or cards, eye and ear protection, weather-appropriate clothing, and water.
+What if I arrive late?
Arrivals more than fifteen minutes after the published start time forfeit the session. Safety briefings are not optional and cannot be repeated mid-class.
+Do you accommodate accessibility or medical needs?
Yes. Registration includes an accessibility and medical notes field. That information is treated as confidential, stored separately from your general record, and used only to keep you safe during training.
Payment, cancellations, and certificates
+How do payments work?
Fixed-rate courses show a single amount. Private instruction is quoted as a deposit plus a final balance, with the final rate set at completion of service. Your registration confirmation lists what is owed.
+What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancel seven or more days ahead for a full refund, three to six days ahead for fifty percent, and less than three days ahead for none. No-shows forfeit. One-time transfers are allowed within ninety days. The full policy is on the Cancellation & Refund Policy page.
+How do I get my certificate?
Certificates are issued after verified completion and are available as a PDF from the student portal. Use the Records page to request a secure sign-in link by email.
Your information
+Who can see what I submit?
Only authorized staff. Registration data is written through a protected server path and cannot be read from a browser. Medical and accessibility notes are held separately, and every staff view of those notes is recorded in an internal activity log.
+How long do you keep my records?
Intake submissions are archived or removed on a published retention schedule once they are no longer needed. Training history and certificates are kept as permanent records of completion. Details are on the Privacy and Security pages.
+Will you email me marketing I didn't ask for?
No. Newsletter sign-up is opt-in and confirmed by email, and every campaign carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing never affects registration, reminder, or certificate emails.
