SMS Opt-In & Opt-Out Policy

Sling & Stone Defense-Training, LLC sends a small number of operational text messages to authorized staff. This page explains when texts are sent, how consent is given, and how to stop them.

Version 1 · Effective September 22, 2026

1. Who Receives Texts

Only authorized Sling & Stone staff and owners who have signed up with their own mobile number on our Staff Text Alerts sign-up page (https://www.ssdtraintoprotect.com/sms-alerts) and been approved by the owner receive text messages. Students, prospects, and website visitors do not receive SMS from this site. No text is ever sent to a phone number provided in a registration, consultation, or contact form.

2. What We Send

Operational alerts only: notice that a new registration has been submitted, and time-sensitive reminders tied to an active class. No marketing, promotional, or sales texts are sent. Message frequency is low — a handful per week at most, and only when events occur.

3. How Opt-In Works

A staff member opts in on the web form at https://www.ssdtraintoprotect.com/sms-alerts by entering their name and their own mobile number and ticking an unchecked consent box that reads:

"I agree to receive operational text alerts (new registrations and class reminders) from Sling & Stone Defense-Training, LLC at the number provided. Message frequency varies, up to a few per week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase."

The form will not submit unless the box is ticked. We record the date, time, and wording of each consent. A confirmation text is then sent: "Sling & Stone: You're subscribed to staff alerts. Msg freq varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel." Alerts begin only after the owner approves the sign-up. Numbers are never sourced from public submissions, purchased lists, or third parties.

4. How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately. Reply UNSTOP to resume. Reply HELP for support. Carriers may also process STOP, UNSTOP, and HELP automatically.

You may also opt out or change your number by emailing inquiries@ssdtrain2protect.com or calling (312) 912-2137. Removing the number from the operations dashboard stops all future texts.

5. Message Frequency

Texts are occasional and event-driven. There is no recurring or scheduled marketing cadence. You will not receive more than a few messages per week, and only when an operational event occurs.

6. Carriers & Delivery

We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carrier filtering, network issues, or number changes. Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

7. Data & Privacy

Mobile numbers used for alerts are stored only for authorized staff, are never sold or shared with advertisers, and are governed by our Privacy Notice. Removing a number from the dashboard stops all future texts.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date below reflects the current version.
